Bumped one day by Tropical Storm Isaac, 11th District GOP Congressional nominee Mark Meadows is back on the platform at the
2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa. He now has a speaking slot between 2:30 and 3:00 Tuesday afternoon.
Meadows, who is favored among handicappers to defeat Democratic nominee and Shuler chief of staff Hayden Rogers, is one of more than a dozen congressional candidates invited to speak during the convention.
“This is such an honor and I am humbled to be invited to speak,” Meadows said in a statement. “I want to join with other conservative candidates to support the Romney/Ryan ticket and make sure that the upcoming election brings real change in Washington.”
