Lux Salon moves to Seventh Avenue

Lux Salon is hosting an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, to celebrate its move to a larger space in the Historic Seventh Avenue District, owner Christine Carver announced.
The public is invited to tour the new 2,400-square-foot space at 409 7th Avenue East and enjoy local food and beverages from Underground Bakery, Daddy D’s and Southern Appalachian Brewery. The staff will be offering complimentary consultations and the opportunity to experience their new braid bar. In addition, there will be a raffle for services, hair products and more.
Originally from New York, Carver worked as a fashion and production designer in Los Angeles before relocating to North Carolina seven years ago. She opened Lux Salon in 2012. The new space features eight styling stations, five hair stylists, and a full-length color bar.
“I believe in historic Seventh Avenue, and love the creative environment and neighborhood feel,” Carver said. “I think it’s going to be the next big thing, and I want to be a part of it.”
