Asheville Tea Party sets candidate event

The Asheville Tea PAC, the political action committee of the Asheville Tea Party, is hosting a candidate fair at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Skyland Fire Department, 9 Miller Road, in Asheville.
The informal meet-and-greet features candidates on the March 15 primary ballot for federal, state and local offices.
After brief opening remarks from Asheville Tea Party Chair Jane Bilello, candidates will give brief self-introductions. Candidates confirmed so far include Dr. Albert Wiley (R), NC 10 Congress; Jeff Gregory (R), NC 10 Congress; Robert Brawley (R), NC Governor; Charles Moss (R), NC Governor; Michael LaPaglia (R), NC Secretary of State; Mike Causey (R), NC Insurance Commissioner; Andrew Stevens (R), NC Commissioner of Agriculture; Lisa Baldwin (R), NC Senate 48; Cody Hensen (R), NC House 113; Representative John Ager (D), NC House 115; Bob Chilmonik (R), NC House 115; Dr. Frank Moretz (R), NC House 115; Representative Brian Turner (D), NC House 116; Kay Olsen (R), NC House 116; Chad Nesbitt (R), Buncombe County Commissioner Chair; Jordan Burchett (R), Buncombe County Commissioner, District 2; and Pat Cothran (R), Register of Deeds.
