Thanks to a neighbor's generosity, Laurel Park police will get Tasers.
Hendersonville Police Chief Herbert Blake told the City Council in a memo that his department is replacing older model M26 Tasers with smaller X26 model.
The Laurel Park police department needs Tasers, he said, and Blake sought the council's OK to give the older models to the neighboring department. If council approves, Laurel Park will get four Tasers, two chargers, four battery holders and 16 Taser cartridges. The council approved the request without discussion Thursday night.
