Goodwill opening store in Laurel Park

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will open a new retail store in Laurel Park next week.

The store opens on Thursday, May 21, at 1731 Brevard Road in the space formerly occupied by Fran’s Fashions. Although the new store will not open to shoppers until May 21, it is accepting donations now. Donations of any kind are always needed and appreciated: clothing, electronics, home goods, furniture, jewelry, books, computer equipment and shoes are in high demand.
During a grand opening Thursday the store will provide refreshments, promotional giveaways and a ribbon cutting with town of Laurel Park officials, Chamber of Commerce representatives and Goodwill executive team members.
The Hendersonville store will offer shoppers the same great bargains they have come to know at all Goodwill stores, but will have different hours of operation. The new store will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
