League sponsoring legislative, School Board candidate forums

The Henderson County League of Women Voters is sponsoring candidate forums for North Carolina legislative seats and for the School Board this month.

A forum will be held Sept. 22 for 48th Senate District candidates Norm Bossert and Chuck Edwards and 113th state House District candidates Maureen Copelof and Cody Henson and Rep. Chuck McGrady. A Henderson County School Board forum will be held Oct. 13. 

The forums are from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hendersonville City Operations Building on Williams Street.

On Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. the league, Pisgah Legal Services and the Mediation Center will sponsor a Meet & Greet at Carolina Village for nonpartisan judicial candidates, School Board candidates and unopposed candidates for county commission.
