Area quilters displaying their work on Saturday (2)

Quilters Hardy Chandler and Dawn Bartholic of the WNC Quilting Guild display one of the quilts made for Saturday’s exhibit at Blue Ridge Mall.

Area quilters will display their work during the National Quilt Day exhibit at Blue Ridge Mall this Saturday, March 15.

Quilters Hardy Chandler and Dawn Bartholic of the WNC Quilting Guild helped organize this year's exhibit, whose theme of "Initial This!" required quilters to incorporate their initials into the pattern.
The National Quilting Association in 1992 created National Quilting Day on the third Saturday in March. Guild volunteers expected about 35 quilts to be entered in this year's show. The quilts will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at center court of the mall.
