Vote for Hendersonville as South's Best City

The Henderson County Tourism Development Authority is encouraging residents and fans of downtown to vote for Hendersonville as the South’s Best City in the annual South’s Best contest sponsored by Southern Living magazine.

“We all know what a great place Hendersonville is to live and visit,” says Beth Carden, executive director of the Henderson County TDA. “Winning this contest with such a well known publication as Southern Living would help us continue to spread the word about Hendersonville and invite more visitors to come experience our city for themselves.”

Hendersonville is one of 11 North Carolina cities in the running. The contest includes destinations in 18 Southern states.

“It is an honor to be on the ballot and have this opportunity to vote for a place we care so much about,” Carden says.

The contest continues until Oct. 9. Voters have the opportunity to enter a giveaway for a $2,500 grand prize or one of three $500 prizes.

Winners of The South’s Best contest will be announced in a spring 2018 issue of Southern Living magazine and also online at www.SouthernLiving.com/Souths-Best.
