Pardee announces golf tournament winners

Pardee Hospital Foundation’s 20th Annual Tournament of Champions at Kenmure Country Club in Flat Rock raised more than $75,000 for the purchase of an Electronic Medical Records Computer Software program for the Cancer Center at Pardee Hospital.

Players on “Fazio Design & Billy Nodine’s” team were the overall victors for the day. Will Hendrix, Nathan Smith and Meridith Elliott Powell took individual awards for the longest drives. Tim Mullinax, Bill Lapsley, Will Hendrix, Larry Russell and Noah Ratner all received awards for the closest to the pin.

More than 130 golfers competed in this year’s event featuring two 18-hole tournaments that help give back to the community’s health care, Pardee said in a news release. The tournament proceeds helped the foundation purchase software that will enhance patient safety, personalize treatment experience, streamline order accuracy of chemotherapy treatments and facilitate physician to physician communication.
A total of 36 sponsors supported this year’s Tournament of Champions. Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Asheville and Hendersonville Health & Rehabilitation / The Lodge at Mills River – A SanStone Community served as Diamond Sponsors. Andy Oxy Co., Inc.; First Citizens Bank; HealthCare Claims Management; Pardee Hospital and Wright McGraw Beyer Architects, PA., served as Gold Sponsors.
Since 1996, the Tournament of Champions has raised more than $2 million to expand Pardee Hospital, improve services and purchase equipment to strengthen patient care.
