The Henderson County Health Department is shifting its covid-19 testing day from Tuesday to Saturday next week in order to reach more working people. The next test open to the public is Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at East Henderson High School, 150 Eagle Pride Drive, East Flat Rock. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said early findings in its investigation into the Legionnaires' disease outbreak at the N.C. Mountain State Fair suggest that mist from a hot tub display in the Davis Center may have caused the infection.
