Household names since the ’40s for anyone who loves Broadway, musicals and theater in general, Rodgers and Hammerstein produced some of the most well-known plays to this day — “Oklahoma!” and “The Sound of Music” remaining two of their most famous. Premiering on Broadway in 1949, “South Pacific” was no less popular. Theater patrons filled the seats for all 1,925 performances.   Read Story »

When it opened the season, the Flat Rock Playhouse schedule had a fill-in-the-blank for what it teased would be a "blockbuster summer musical." The marketers turned out to be right.
