MAKING UPSET BID
Henderson County has received an upset bid on the following described real estate which is now owned by the County:

The property is described as 714 6th Ave West (Henderson County REIDs 1011743 and 114591, and Henderson County PINs 9568584911 and 9568583734), with a combined tax value of $372,400.00. This is the identical property conveyed to Henderson County by deed recorded in Book 1302, at Page 327, of the Henderson County Registry, which is incorporated by reference.

The offered price in the upset bid is One Hundred Eighty Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($180,650.00) in cash.

Subject to final review by the Board of Commissioners of Henderson County of this transaction, a special warranty deed will be executed in favor of the successful purchaser.

Any prospective purchaser may file an increased bid with the Henderson County Attorney's Office. Such increased bid must be delivered to the Office within ten (10) days from the date of publication of this notice, namely by not later than 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2017 (the first business day at least ten days after first publication). To be valid, such an increased bid must raise the amount offered by not less than ten percent (10%) of the first $1,000 thereof plus five percent (5%) of the remainder thereof. The increased bid must be accompanied by deposit of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the increased bid, plus the actual cost of re-advertising the increased bid. The deposit must be made in cash or certified funds.

The address at which such increased bid and deposit must be made is Office of the County Attorney, 1 Historic Courthouse Square, Suite 5, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

If an increased bid is filed, the property will again be advertised for sale. If no increased bid is filed within ten (10) days from date of this publication, the highest bid will go before the Board of Commissioners for final determination of whether or not to accept the same.
