PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Mills River Town Council will hold a public hearing at Mills River Town Hall on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 6:30 PM on an amendment to the Mills River Code of Ordinances to include a floodplain hazard prevention ordinance in a new section, Title XVII. This hazard prevention ordinance is being considered under the police power authority granted to municipalities in Article 8 of Chapter 160A and Section 215.61 Part 6 Article 21 of Chapter 143 of the NC General Statutes to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the community members of the Town of Mills River. This public hearing will also be accessible to the public via electronic means. Specifics to attend remotely are available at www.millsriver.gov/calendar.
