The public will take notice that, pursuant to G. S. 160A-31, the Laurel Park Town Council has called a public hearing at 9:30 A.M. on July 21st, 2026 on the question of voluntary annexation requested by RUSSELL, TIMOTHY JAMES; RUSSELL, EMILY JARRELL by petition of the following described property:

Beginning at an iron pin set in the northern margin of the right-of-way for Brevard Road / US Highway 64, said iron pin lying N 59°28'2211 E 87.581 from NCGS monument "Belding Az Mk", said monument having NC Grid Coordinates of N: 589,924.58', E: 959,875.99' respectively; thence N 12°54'4511 E 138.56' to a 3 inch concrete monument; thence along the same course N 12°54'4511 E 2.00' to a calculated and unmarked point in the base of a 30" double maple; thence N 87°07'27" E 113.33' to a½" existing iron pipe; thence S 13°05'09" W a distance of 182.63' to an iron pin set in the northern margin of the aforementioned right-of-way; thence along the northern margin of the right of way N 71°1012911 W 109.09' to the point and place of beginning, containing 0.40 acres.
