NOTICE OF
INTENTION TO APPLY TO THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL OF BONDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of the County of Henderson, North Carolina (the “County”) to file an application with the Local Government Commission of North Carolina (the “Commission”) for its approval of the issuance of general obligation bonds of the County which shall be for the following purpose and in the following maximum amount:
$25,000,000 of bonds to pay the capital costs of acquisition and improvement of land or interests therein for open space and conservation purposes, including, but not limited to, the protection of natural resources and preservation of farmland and scenic landscapes, including the acquisition of the development rights in the land.
Any citizen or taxpayer of the County objecting to the issuance of any or all of said bonds, within seven (7) days after the date of publication of this notice, may file with the Local Government Commission, 3200 Atlantic Avenue, Longleaf Building, Raleigh, NC 27604, Attention: Secretary, and with the Board of Commissioners of the County, a written statement setting forth each objection to the proposed bond issue and such statement shall contain the name and address of the person filing it.
