NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND REFERENDUM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of the County of Henderson, North Carolina (the “County”) to call for a referendum on November 3, 2026, to approve the issuance of bonds of the County which shall be for the following purpose and in the following maximum amount:
$25,000,000 of bonds to pay the capital costs of acquisition and improvement of land or interests therein for open space and conservation purposes, including, but not limited to, the protection of natural resources and preservation of farmland and scenic landscapes, including the acquisition of the development rights in the land.
Taxes will be levied for the payment of the bonds. At said referendum the question will be stated whether the order authorizing bonds for each of the purposes stated above shall be approved. The last day for registration for the referendum is October 9, 2026.
