Dr. Anson Kessler, 88

Dr. Anson Kessler, 88, of Laurel Park died on January 2, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Irving and Rose Kessler, and his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Alice Kessler.

Anson was born, raised, and lived most of his adult and professional life in New York. Anson was a graduate of Columbia University and New York University School of Dentistry. He served our country honorably as an Army Medic in the European theater of war during World War II. After the war, Anson practiced dentistry for over 40 years until his retirement to Laurel Park, North Carolina in 1994.

Anson met his beloved wife Helen in Greenwich Village, New York at a dance, fell in love, and together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Anson is survived by his children, Faye, Glen, Todd, and Lori (daughter-in-law), and alsoleaves behind his three grandchildren, Mia, Aaron, and Adam, all who he cherished and loved dearly.

Anson was a loving and generous man who had an insatiable curiosity and passion for learning. He was a unique individual who was a shining example to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed.
