Donald Milton Orr, 71

Donald Milton Orr, 71, of Homestead, Florida, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his father Milton Thomas Orr, Jr.

Donald attended Norwood High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He became a commercial painter and enjoyed spending his off time fishing and being near the water. After suffering from an accident which left him unable to work, he was still able to drive and donated hours and hours of his time helping others and driving people around that were not able to. He spent the last 20 plus years of his life in the loving care of his mother. Donald was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Ruby Virginia Orr Johnson Glasco of Homestead, Fl, one son, Donald Milton Orr, Jr. of Shamokin Pennsylvania: as well as one sister, Joan Linda Orr Oliver Nemec and her husband William of Homestead, Fl. He is also survived by several aunts, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Thos. Shepherds Church Street Chapel with Reverend Dan Martin officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church 204 Sixth Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC.
