Steven "Steve" Michael Holsopple

Steven "Steve" Michael Holsopple died unexpectedly on July 11, 2014.

Steve was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and was preceded in death by his parents Al and June Holsopple. He was a 1974 graduate of Hendersonville High School and the proprietor of Western Carolina Insulation since 1981.

When not busy with the insulation company, Steve spent his spare time attending local activities around town with friends and attending various church services. He also enjoyed photography, had an immense love of cars and last but not least spending time with his mini Dachshunds who were the light of his life.

Steve is survived by his seven beloved dogs, Hannah, Montana, Cujo, Olly, Mandy, Nugget, and Roscoe P. Coltrane. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Connie Holsopple Sargent of Hendersonville; four nephews, Chris Lance and wife, Lynn, of Flat Rock, Tommy Lance and wife, Cindy, of Russellville, Ky., David Jones, Kevin Sargent of Hendersonville; great nieces and nephews, Courtney Lance, Hunter and Austin Lance, Alex, Charlie and Emma Grace Jones, and Makaylee Sargent.

A memorial service will be held  at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Horse First Baptist Church with the Reverend John Mason officiating. A private entombment will be held at Shepherd Memorial Park.

Steve had a tender heart and a great love for dogs therefore, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Humane Society.
