Frances Searcy Capell, 80

Frances Searcy Capell, 80, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Charleston, S.C., surrounded by her loving children.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeter Pritchard Searcy Sr. and Pauline Marlowe Searcy, her husband Rev. Luther Capell, a grandson, Eric Baker, three brothers, Jeter Pritchard Searcy Jr., Yates Searcy and Johnny Searcy and a sister, June Wright.

Her life's calling was to be a Godly wife to her husband and to provide a stable loving home to her children. Her greatest achievement was the investment of time, wisdom, compassion, selfless love and presence she made in her children's lives, in the lives of her grandchildren and in the lives of her great grandchildren.

She and Luther helped build Mountain View Baptist Church, Zion Hill Baptist Church and Kings Grove Baptist Church. She was a current and active member of Kings Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She had been faithfully and passionately working in church for over 60 years.

Frances and her husband owned and operated Lazy Boy Travel Park.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Phillip Capell and wife, Pam, of Hendersonville; four daughters, Dale Bailey and husband, Claxton, of Hendersonville, Miriam Capell of Hendersonville, Karen Hughes and husband, Joe, of Waynesville and Michelle Capell and her wife, Heather, of Asheville; seven grandchildren, Rene Kesinger, Jamie Lambert, Nicole Blair, Kelly Alexander, Cole McMurray, William Lucas Capell and Marley Capell; eleven great-grandchildren, Lexi Roberson, Cody Roberson, Ashley Roberson, Jacob Baker, Taya Lambert, Tori Lambert, Sawyer Lambert, Austin Alexander, Norah Alexander, Emma Jane Talbert and Beckham Blair.

Other family members include; Clarence and Anne Laughter, Jim and Marie Searcy and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at King's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Capell, Rev. Buddy Mullinax and Rev. Lloyd Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at King's Grove Baptist Church and at other times, they will be at the home.
