It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara (Bobbi) Seeman who peacefully passed away on June 26th, 2026 at the age of 88 . For the past nine years , Bobbi enjoyed a fun and activity filled life in Carolina Village. Prior to that Bobbi enjoyed over 30 years at Cummings Cove with her beloved Husband, Melvin Seeman, who predeceased her in 1989. She carried his memory in her heart every day and remained a source of strength, love, and inspiration to her family.

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mark Schakel, of Hendersonville, NC, on June 24, 2026. Mark was born in 1950 in Anderson, IN to Helen and Harold Schakel. He was the oldest of six children. A 1975 graduate of the University of Kentucky, Mark spent his career in engineering. At home, he was a car enthusiast who loved to tinker with his many projects.
