Edneyville celebrates new sports courts

The Friends of the Edneyville Community Center Park, Edneyville Grange members, county commissioners and administrators celebrated the opening of three pickleball court, basketball goals and four-square courts at the Edneyville Community Center on Tuesday morning. The Friends of the park raised $70,000 to support the sports courts additions to the apple country community center. The county Parks & Recreation Department plans to add cornhole in the future. Pickleball courts are in demand across the region as the sport has become arguably the fastest growing, parks director Bruce Gilliam said.   Read Story »
