Sycamore donates $8,000 for off-road bike park upgrades

Sycamore Cycles is contributing $8,000 to add shade structures and more bicycle skills lines to the new and improved Jackson Park Bicycle Park. Sycamore, the county parks and recreation department and volunteers are holding a work day at the park Saturday.   Read Story »

Conservancy saves 900 acres for hunting, hiking, mountain biking

Nine hundred acres of Little White Oak Mountain became public land on Friday, as Conserving Carolina transferred 600 acres to the state to expand the Green River Game Lands and 300 acres to Polk County for a local park.   Read Story »
