Park Ridge No. 1 in 'Patient Picks'

Park Ridge Health has received the top ranking for "Patient Picks" in the Business North Carolina Best Hospitals 2015 issue.

The Patient Picks feature ranked the experience of overall care at Park Ridge Health above all other hospitals in North Carolina, including Duke University Health System, UNC Health Care, Carolinas HealthCare System, Novant Health, Wake Forest Baptist Health, and Mission Health. Park Ridge Health was #2 in the state in this ranking for the previous year.
"It is exciting to have the state of North Carolina know that patients have picked the most recommended hospital in the state to be right here in Western North Carolina," Park Ridge Health President and CEO Jimm Bunch said in a news release. "As a community we continue to raise the bar and are becoming best in class in many areas of business, well beyond healthcare. This is an exciting time for our community!"
Park Ridge Health earned the honor based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey of adult patients after discharge. The survey ranks the top acute-care hospitals in the state that have 50 or more beds.
Eighty-five percent of Park Ridge Health patients in the survey said they would definitely recommend this hospital to others based on their experience here while another 11.6 percent said they would probably recommend Park Ridge Health.
"At Park Ridge Health the desire is to care for each and every patient and guest as family," said Jason Wells, vice president for physician services and Park Ridge Experience. "We are blessed with exceptional physicians and caregivers who serve to extend the healing ministry of Christ each and every day at Park Ridge Health."
