Brown announces campaign event on Saturday

The Committee to Elect Michael Brown Sheriff will host a candidate social at Saint Paul Mountain Vineyard, at 588 Chestnut Gap Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 8.
The event is free and open to the public. The campaign said in the announcement that Brown will share his vision for the future of Henderson County law enforcement.
A Henderson County native and son and grandson of sheriff's deputies who served under Ab Jackson, Brown is making his third run for the county's top law enforcement job. He ran against Sheriff George Erwin in 2002 and ran when the seat was open in 2006. He is currently a State Highway Patrol trooper.
