ETOWAH — Etowah Valley Golf Club & Lodge will host an Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 5, including a couples golf tournament and a fireworks celebration in the evening.The Stars & Stripes Extravaganza Couples Golf Tournament will kick off the festivities and is open to club members and the public. The format of the tournament is flighted captain's choice. Tee time is scheduled for noon. Entry fee is $79 per couple for non-members and $59 per couple for club members.
The fee includes prizes, dinner, music and fireworks following the tournament. Interested golfers may call the Pro Shop at (828) 891-7141 or email email@example.com to sign up.
An 'After-the-Fourth' Fireworks Freedom Celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with a fireworks display at dusk. Lodge guests, club members and the public are invited to join in celebrating our nation's independence with live music, food and fireworks for the whole family. The freedom celebration will feature a free concert by The Nightcrawlers, an Asheville-based blues, soul and rock 'n' roll band.
After the concert, watch the sky fill up with an explosion of color, a true American tradition. Food, drinks and concessions will be available for purchase at the event. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Lodge rooms are available for overnight guests. Rservations can be made by calling (828) 891-7141.
