The Hope Aktion Club hosted a Christmas party on Tuesday night for people who live with a disability in Henderson County.

More than 50 people attended the party at Two Guys Pizza and Ribs, which donated use of the Melody Room and the pizza. Volunteers from the Hendersonville Kiwanis Club, which sponsors the Aktion Club, served pizza.

Aktion Club president Larry Bell welcomed the members and guests. After the pizza supper, the Aktion Club members danced. Quite a few people at the party wore shirts with images of Santa Claus and a word: "Believe."
It was the first communitywide Christmas party for disabled people that the Aktion Club has hosted. The club plans to host a Valentine's Day dance in February.

Jack Hatfield, the Aktion Club adviser, coordinated the event and awarded door prizes.

Everyone won.
