Playhouse extends 'Marvelous Wonderettes' run a week

Flat Rock Playhouse has extended the run of "The Marvelous Wonderettes" after strong ticket sales. Originally scheduled to close on Sunday, Sept. 9, the show will now close on Saturday evening, Sept. 15.The Wonderettes are a delightful girl group and this irrepressible and bubbly quartet sings their collective hearts out in this fast-paced musical. The Marvelous Wonderettes is a charming love letter to classic songs and travels back to the days of bobby sox, bubble gum and Bobby Darin.

The story follows the story of " The Marvelous Wonderettes"— Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy—four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and the voices to match.

Evening performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8 pm. Matinee performances are Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $35 with discounts available for seniors, AAA members, military personnel, students and groups.
