Mehri & Co. wins window display competition

Mehri & Co. was named winner of the window design competition for 2012.

Mehri & Co. has won the annual Downtown Holiday Window Competition with a theme that wrapped the façade at the corner of Fifth Avenue West and Main Street.

With voters weighing from around the region, this year's competition was a wonderful addition to the festivities that make Historic Downtown Hendersonville the heart of the holidays in Hendersonville and Henderson County, Main Street coordinator Lew Holloway said in a news release.

With 18 stores open late all weekend and many unique gift options concentrated within an eight-block district, it's hard to beat shopping downtown, Holloway said.

It was also announced that Jan Stevens of Brevard won the raffle drawing for a Narnia Studios gift basket.
