Keller Williams expands, touts growth

Brokers and guests visited new Keller Williams office on South Main on Feb. 1.

Brokers and guests checked out the new expanded Keller Williams Realty office at 402 S. Main St. during an open house Feb. 1.

A striking red "impact wall" features the company's mission statement. The renovations by Whitney Construction include an Internet café in the middle of the building with computer workstations, comfortable seating and Wi-Fi. Downstairs is a new training room that seats 50.

The Keller Williams office has climbed to the No. 2 spot in the market behind Beverly Hanks in just seven years, said managing broker Lauretta Sthreshley.

"We're very close to being No. 1 nationwide," she said. "We just closed the best year we've ever had." The local office employs 60 real estate agents and a support staff of four.
