Two new stores likely to boost mall traffic

Two popular stores coming to the Blue Ridge Mall are  likely to boost retail traffic considerably in 2024.

Ross Dress for Less and HomeGoods are renovating space the old JCPenney space in the Four Seasons Boulevard shopping center. Ross put up a "Coming Soon" sign at the construction site this week and the store name is already on the permament marquee.  Ross received a zoning permit for the renovation job in October.

HomeGoods is also expected to open next year, mall shopkeepers and construction managers confirmed. Owned by TJX, HomeGoods is a sister company to TJ Maxx, which currently has a store at the mall. The Blue Ridge Mall manager and the Augusta, Ga.-bssed mall owners, the Hull Group, did not respond to a request for more information.
