Cops flocked to WHHS for routine search, not active emergency, sheriff says

A large number of law officers converging on West  Henderson High School on Tuesday was a routine drug search, not an active emergency, the sheriff's said. Here's the announcement:

"We want to inform everyone that there is currently a large police presence at West Henderson High School. This is due to a scheduled routine search around the campus for contraband, utilizing our K9 units. Please rest assure there is no active emergency at this time, and there is no reason to be on alert. The search is part of standard safety procedures to ensure the well being of our students and staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation."
