City expected to hold line on taxes — for now

City Manager John Connet announced Wednesday that he is not recommending a property tax increase in the city's 2026-27 budget but signaled that a projected reduction of in sales tax revenue and the outcome of a pay and classification study were likely to trigger a rate increase next year.
