Unemployment insurance changes to be discussed

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Hendersonville JobLink and Henderson County JobLink offices to offer information concerning the recent unemployment insurance changes that have taken place in North Carolina.

Representatives from the Division of Employment Security will present the information from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Chamber of Commerce. Maricela Acosta, DES Tax Auditor, and Becky Nunnaley, DES Regional Tax Manager, will address topics including changes in how employers file unemployment claims on behalf of their employees, timely responses of separation notices and employers' unemployment insurance accounts. Employers will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

There is no charge to attend, but registrations are requested by calling 828-692-1413 or by emailing chamber@hendersoncountychamber.org.
