Warrant squad tracks down accused rapist

A 26-year-old accused rapist was jailed on a $100,000 bond Tuesday after Henderson County deputies arrested him for failing to appear in court in April.

Deputies with the department's warrant squad arrested Dustin Ray Parham on July 16 after he failed to appear in Superior Court of Henderson County April 22. Parham was out on bond awaiting trial on three counts of first degree rape originally brought in 2011. Officers had tracked Parham through Henderson County, Buncombe County and upstate South Carolina before locating him at a residence off Nash Road in the Dana community of Henderson County. The officers took Parham into custody without incident.
