Henderson County resident Lucas Armena has been appointed to the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.

Armena is pursuing a master of science in emergency management and business continuity at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a board member of the Young Professionals of Asheville, a program of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce.
The commission facilitates the settlement of Superior Court civil actions and makes civil litigation more economical, efficient and satisfactory, the governor's office said. The term length is three years.
