Partnership celebrates value of Mills River

The Mills River Partnership is sponsoring "Mills River Day" from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at North River Farms (3333 North Mills River Road).

The theme of the event is "The River Connects Us." It will feature fun-filled water quality educational activities for kids of all ages and hayrides to see agricultural water protection projects. There will also be a bounce house, corn bin, fire truck and ice cream. The Lonesome Road Band will play.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. The first 100 visitors will receive a flowering hanging basket. For more information, please contact the partnership at 708-7388 or visit www.millsriverwater.org.
