Henderson County residents with an abandoned manufactured home on their property are invited to apply for a grant to have the home removed.The grant will pay $1,000 toward the demolition of each home. The applicant will be responsible for the remainder of the demolition cost, typically $500. For applicants with an annual income of less than $32,700, Henderson County has funding available to pay the difference. Henderson County participated in this grant from February 2010 through February 2011 and removed 25 abandoned manufactured homes. The county has again been awarded this reimbursement grant.
