Mediation Center adds youth counselor

The Mediation Center has hired a Youth Mediation Coordinator who will conduct interpersonal skill-building for court-involved youth, train students in peer mediation and mediate situations involving young people.

Working from the Mediation Center's Hendersonville office, Meaghan Dolan will be a frequent visitor to city, county and private schools, the Mediation Center said. She also will partner with community organizations that serve youth such as the Boys and Girls Club.
Before accepting her current position, Dolan worked as a school counselor at Brevard High School. She also was employed in Vermont as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence. She holds a bachelor's degree in human services from Elon University and a master's degree in school counseling from Appalachian State University.
