Bears go on auction block Saturday

The 12th annual Bearfootin' Public Art Auction is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 pm with bidder registration and live entertainment featuring Emily Bodley starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse Square.

The auction raises money for a variety of non-profits, including the city of Hendersonville's Main Street program. Last year the bear auction raised nearly $20,000 for more than 20 nonprofits ranging from the Council on Aging to the Boys & Girls Club.
