Law officers seeking possible assault victim

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office is trying to locate a 26-year-old local man who may have been the victim of "a serious assault" on Wednesday night.

The sheriff's office said in a news release that deputies are trying to find Nicholas Hunt of 441 Stepp Road. Hunt is 5 ft 10 inches tall with brown hair. He was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 116 Adele's Way in Hendersonville. "Hunt may have been the victim of a very serious assault and in need of medical treatment," the news release said. "There is no vehicle information to report at this time."

The sheriff's office requested that anyone with information about Hunt or who knows his whereabouts contact Henderson County Violent Crimes Detective, Cpl. Dottie Parker at 828-694-2719.
