Authorities identify body found on Green River

The man who was found dead on the banks of the the Green River near the Peter Guice Bridge last week has been identified. He was reported missing and termed armed and dangerous by the Greensboro Police Department on Monday, though Henderson County sheriff's investigators do not suspect foul play in his death.

Through investigative efforts by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, Greensboro Police Department and ATF, positive identification was made. Authorities notified his next of kin.
