Concert for heating fund is Sunday

Tom Fisch

FLAT ROCK — The fifth annual Warmth of Home Concert to benefit Interfaith Assistance Ministry's winter heating fund will be held at the Flat Rock Cinema on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The concert, produced by Howard and Brice Molton and sponsored by WTZQ, Morris Broadband, Carolina Investment Brokers, NC Printing and Flat Rock Cinema, will feature local artists Tom Fisch and Terry Wetton and will be the finale concert of the 2014 Magnolia Acoustic Concert Series.
Thanks to the efforts of Tom Fisch, the benefit will take place for the fifth year in a row. Fisch first became inspired to help after hearing about the challenges some local residents face in paying for electricity just to keep their heat on.
Once Interfaith Assistance Ministry embraced the benefit idea, "the ball just started rolling," Fisch says. From there, with the help of two close friends, fellow musician Terry Wetton and producer Howard Molton, the trio began their mission to bring the benefit concert to life.
"I absolutely love playing at this event and I always love working with Tom and Howard," Wetton says. "It's very rewarding. The audience is so welcoming and fun, and Flat Rock Cinema is a great setting."
Tickets are $15 plus tax and all ticket sales proceeds go to the Interfaith Assistance Ministry Winter Heating Fund. Tickets are available at Interfaith Assistance Ministry and online at www.MagnoliaConcertSeries.com. Advance tickets are strongly encouraged due to the limited seating and previous sold-out concerts.
Call 828-697-7029 for more information and visit www.MagnoliaConcertSeries.com for driving directions and food and beverage menu. Full menu, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase. Doors will open at 2:15.
