Operation Christmas Child will collect shoeboxes for needy children around the globe the week of Nov. 17-24 at Hendersonville Presbyterian Church, 699 N. Grove St.
Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, to Saturday, Nov. 22, 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.
The world's largest Christmas project of its kind, Operation Christmas Child, will deliver those gift-filled shoeboxes using any means necessary—boat, plane, dog sled and even elephant—to reach the hands of needy children.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 113 million children in more than 150 countries.
