Henderson Oil supports Daniel Boone Council

Henderson Oil Co. contributed $1,500 to the Daniel Boone Council.

The Daniel Boone Council recognized Citgo Petroleum as a Platinum Sponsor of the Be Prepared 15K during a meeting of Cub Scout Pack 602.

Henderson Oil Co. President Bill McKibbin, Vice President/General Manager Barry Edwards and Vice President/Controller Paul Jordan presented a check for $1500 to Daniel Boone Council Scout Executive Josh Christ and Terrora District Executive Lauren Stanfield.
The $1500 grant will be used to support the Be Prepared 15k, a trail race at Camp Daniel Boone on Dec. 6 to benefit the Daniel Boone Council. In addition to the grant, Citgo provided $500 in gas gift cards to include in runners' race packets. To register go to active.com. All proceeds from the race benefit the character and leadership development programs of Scouting for over 4,000 youth and families of Western North Carolina.
