Shopping maul starts early

Hendersonville shoppers got an early start on Christmas shopping on Thanksgiving Day as malls and stores opened for early bird specials.

The lines for the opening of Belks snaked through the length of the mall just before the department store opened its doors at 6 p.m. Big box stores also were busy with shoppers taking advantage of discounts.
