Deputies arrest six in two drug cases

A four-month investigation by local, state and federal agencies resulted in the arrest of four people in East Flat Rock and Hendersonville on Thursday, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

After a joint investigation by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, Hendersonville Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and the state SBI into the illegal sales of prescription drugs and other illegal narcotics, law officers served search warrants simultaneously at 906 Holmes St. in Hendersonville and 318 Jody St. in East Flat Rock.
The searches resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia and cash as well as the arrests of three people, the sheriff's office said in a news release. A fourth turned herself in to officials later the same day.
Arrested were:

  • Dorothy Hunt Crosby, 35, of 906 Holmes Street, charged with four counts of Sell and Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance, released on $32,000 secured bond.
  • Vivian Owens Hunt, 57, of 318 Jody Street, East Flat Rock, charged with two counts Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, released on a $16,000 secured bond.
  • Harvey Franklin Hunt, 59, of 318 Jody Street, East Flat Rock, charged with three counts of Sell and Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance, released on a $24,000 secured bond.
  • Jackson Eugene Hudson, 47, of 906 Holmes Street, Hendersonville, charged with one count of Sell and Deliver of Schedule II Controlled Substance, released on a $8,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated case, deputies responding to a citizen complaint about drug activity arrested a Hendersonville couple and charged them with drug offenses.
Deputies served a search warrant at 211 Merriman Road in Hendersonville. The search resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, equipment to manufacture controlled substances and weapons, the sheriff's office said.
Arrested were:

  • Scott David Deangelo, 48, charged with one count Manufacturing Schedule VI Controlled Substance, one count Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle/Place for Sell of a Controlled Substance, one count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count Tampering with Evidence. The charge of Tampering with Evidence resulted, the sheriff's office said, "when Deangelo tried to destroy evidence of an active marijuana grow prior to deputies entering the residence." Deangelo was booked under a $10,600 bond at the Henderson County Detention Center and has been released.
  • Jennifer Ann Deangelo, 37. She was charged with one count Manufacturing Schedule VI Controlled Substance, one count Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle/Place for Sell of a Controlled Substance, and one count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released under a $7,100 bond.
