Dream on: No White Christmas for us

A White Christmas is out and after three days of rain so is a wet Christmas, forecasters say.

Rain will move into the area Sunday night and stick around till about dusk on Christmas Eve, the National Weather Service said.

Chance of rain is 70 percent Monday and 100 percent Tuesday and Wednesday with 1-2 inches of accumulation by early Wednesday. Highs will hover around 43 on Tuesday and spike to 57 on Christmas Eve. Things dry out on Christmas Day weatherwise, with a high of 48 under sunny skies. Friday should be nice as well for after-Christmas shopping, with the high reaching 54 and another dose of sun to go with those deep discounts.
