City board appointment open

The city of Hendersonville currently has two opportunities for service on its Board of Adjustment, which hears appeals of land use or Zoning Ordinance interpretations of the zoning administrator, provides administrative reviews, considers variances and conditional uses, imposes minimum standards for certain uses and imposes standards for bed and breakfasts.

One regular seat is vacant and the alternate seat is also vacant.

The Board of Adjustment is made up of 10 members — seven residents of the city appointed by the City Council and three residents of the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction appointed by the Henderson County Board of Commissioners.
