Dog in yard results in fight with two injuries

An argument over a dog running at large left one person with a wound to the mouth and another at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach, the Shriff's Office said.

At about 10:50 a.m. today, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of shots fired at 63 Louisiana Avenue near Osceola Lake. Officers arrived on the scene where a fight had occurred between individuals over a dog that was off leash and in the yard of the property owner at 63 Louisiana Ave.

During the altercation the property owner was struck in the mouth with an object and required medical treatment at Pardee Hospital, the sheriff's office said in a news release. The other party was transported to Mission Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed at this time, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
